1. Can these pieces be outside or do they have to be inside?
All furniture and outdoor chandeliers are made to be outside. I finish outdoor pieces with a wood deck waterproof sealant. In fact the Adirondak Rocking Chair is three years old, and has been exposed to outdoor elements continuously. It has been refinished twice to maintain its waterproof coating. The small table with single barrel band is five years old and has been refinished twice. We recommend an annual refinishing for outdoor pieces to preserve their unique patina, and ensure that they will last for many years to come. Pieces designed for indoor use only are finished with Linseed, Teak, or Tung oil. Serving and cooking utensils are finished with a food-grade mineral oil and beeswax coating.
2. How do I order?
You can order directly through our website, attend one of our events, or contact us via email for custom orders. We are always making new items, and can do variations on items you see. Contact us with your ideas and we’ll see how we can bring your vision to life.
3. Why does the piece not exactly look like the image?
Each barrel is different as is each piece of the barrel. The color will depend on the variety of wine that was in the barrel originally. Some barrels may contain a marking or brand of the barrel maker or winery, which add a unique charm and history to our pieces. If you prefer wood with no marks or brands, please contact us for a custom order.
4. What if I am a winery or tasting room and I want to decorate with multiple pieces from you?
This is what we do best and when prices can fluctuate the most. If you are a winery that has a multiple piece request and would like us to use your own barrels for the project, then prices can be adjusted for both quantity or items and reduction in material costs. Reach out and let’s discuss your project.
5. What if I do not want any furniture branded with a winery or maker name?
No problem. We like to try to show the character of the barrel that was used, but there are plenty of pieces without branding that can be used to provide you a cleaner look.
6. Can you ship to me?
Our small accessories and utensils can be shipped anywhere within the United States. Large accessories such as our light fixtures, and furniture are available for local pick-up and delivery within the Santa Barbara area. Or feel free to contact us to work out a shipping/delivery option for other locations.
7. How do I know what I want to order is what I will get?
We do our best to discuss all aspects of a project with the customer, and will draw up an invoice to be agreed upon prior to the creation and delivery of your order. We want you to be thrilled with your purchase, and use it for years to come.
